Nearly 40 health plan members are administering well-established Medicare Advantage (MA) plans across the country, and a cohort of new entrants are plotting their approach to success. Send your team to the 2020 Medicare Advantage Sales and Marketing Virtual Summit to learn from other MA plan leaders, kick the tires on new ideas, and compare notes with new entrants.

What is it

A series of invigorating and collaborative virtual workshops that will feed sales and marketing leaders’ appetite for new, winning tactics to accelerate growth.  Alliance member health plan-led sessions focus on the tangible and specific initiatives working for fellow health plans across the country. We will also fold in market insights from select expert speakers to push our thinking even further.

A staple in the Alliance annual programming calendar, last year's MA Sales and Marketing Summit received a 9.6 satisfaction rating.

Lightbulb Moments

In this fast-paced, facilitated group ideation session, each attending health plan’s team will share a “lightbulb moment” – a focused “show and tell” of their best tactics for new growth or for retention. Examples can include super effective provider partnership strategies; powerful sales training programs you’ve implemented; organizational structures for telesales and roles for Medicare that get results; impactful mailings that get good traction; what you do to make the ANOC and EOC work harder for you; how you’re staying connected with your members virtually through book clubs and isolation busters; extra special outreach from your member experience, quality, or sales teams, and more.  Walk away with a collection of new ideas to take back to your teams. 

 

WHAT

Each health plan attending the virtual summit should submit ONE “lightbulb moment” before June 11. Choose your topic and your team spokesperson. Develop a maximum of 1-3 slides that provide a quick overview of the best practice you’d like to share with your colleagues.

 

HOW

All submissions must be emailed to jennifer.bosley@healthplanalliance.org before June 11, 2020.  Please keep your submission in a PowerPoint file format, NOT a pdf. Use your own PPT template and title your document: <Company name>_2020MALightbulb. 

 

 

MA Marketing Materials

Each year, attendees from member health plans across the country share their Medicare marketing materials samples at the Medicare Advantage Value Visit. We’re continuing the sharing in 2020 with a fully digital exchange. See below for details, or reach out to Kristin Rodriguez with any questions.

 

WHO

All Alliance members are invited to share copies of their health plan's communication and marketing pieces. Thank you in advance for participating!  We can all learn from each other. Even if you’re not directly responsible for sales and marketing development at your plan, we encourage you to coordinate with your organization’s stakeholders to arrange for sharing. 

 

WHAT

Any member-facing piece is encouraged! Direct mail, advertising slicks, brochures of course—and we’re particularly interested in COVID-19 pieces you’ve developed this year. If the piece is seen by your members, we’d love you to share it with your Health Plan Alliance colleagues. Special request—we’d also love to see your disenrollment surveys!

Upload your materials to the Alliance Knowledge CenterSM. Please merge materials into one PDF. You may want to insert bookmarks within your PDF to make it easier for users to easily delineate where each piece starts and ends. The Alliance Knowledge CenterSM cannot accept files larger than 20 MB. Please be sure to compress your file before upload.
