Uncertainty and the unknown rule the day. And with it comes an innovation rollercoaster. The impact of COVID-19 is transforming the healthcare landscape by acting as both an accelerant and an impediment to innovation.

In some cases organizations that were known for “rocking the boat” in the past, have sharply turned to “steadying the ship,” with the post-COVID-19, new normal. That’s probably bad news for innovation efforts.

The good news is that uncertainty like we’re currently facing can challenge us to find new ways of thinking and new ways of doing things. It might validate some of the forward-thinking projects we’ve been working on, or in some cases present a path toward disruptive innovation right at your feet.
