Event highlights

  • HOT OFF THE PRESS: Deft Research shares their 2019 AEP Study Results with Alliance members.  Special focus is given to benefit design and how new supplemental benefits offered influenced shopping and switching behavior among seniors.
  • WHERE THE RUBBER MEETS THE ROAD:  How can your plan clearly communicate these benefits when you go to market? At every step of the enrollment process, you risk confusing your potential members and creating dissatisfaction. In this session we focus on how these “smart” benefits can be thoughtfully translated to intelligent sales and marketing strategies.
  • CASE STUDY: Health Alliance Plan's Lori Rund, VP of Product Management and Market Intelligence, takes members on a deep dive of their product and bid development of a brand new MA model—one that is built through intense collaboration between the health plan and a physician group every step of the way.
  • CONSORTIA REPORT OUT AND DEBRIEF: The Alliance MA Supplemental Benefits Consortia subject matter experts will present the project's outcomes to Alliance members and facilitate an in-depth discussion of implications for plans (and how to use the intelligence gained as strategically as possible).

Join the Alliance MA Supplemental Benefits Consortia

Alliance member health plans have the opportunity to join the MA Supplemental Benefits Consortia (“MASBC”), a limited duration project which will begin in November 2018 and conclude by March 2019.  The Alliance has currently received written commitments from 22 plans.  At the project’s conclusion, participating plans will receive the following: the data story for the defined list of Supplemental Benefits; a Compliance/Member Services/Integration/Ops/Clinics implementation requirements/best practices for benefits with favorable data story; background data and research on favorability of these benefits; a vendor list for each benefit that tests favorably.  A statement of work will be provided to each participant upon kick off that more fully describes the deliverables.  Additional documentation regarding the MASBC is located in the "Documents" tab above, and additional questions should be directed to Kristin Rodriguez

MA consumers want “Simple.” These Products are complicated. How can Plans bridge the gap?

Supplemental and enhanced benefits make a lot of sense when you think about improving outcomes and removing barriers for members and physicians. But how can your plan clearly communicate these benefits when you go to market? At every step of the enrollment process, you risk confusing your potential members and creating dissatisfaction. In this session we focus on how these “smart” benefits can be thoughtfully translated to intelligent sales and marketing strategies.
