Fly-in: Reciprocity Provider Payment Benchmarking Project and National Networks

Event Date: 2/13/2019 - 2/14/2019

Event Overview

New strategies and options that could drastically change your network development, management and contracting in all lines of business—Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and Commercial

Attracting self-funded, multi-location employers and getting a fair deal with individual out-of-area and out-of-network providers has traditionally been a challenge for Health Plan Alliance members.  Shifts in the market—in particular a more mobile membership and employers that are open to using multiple health coverage plans—are creating new opportunities for Alliance members.  Hear about new strategies and national network options, and participate in an in-depth planning session on our 2019 Reciprocity Data Benchmarking Project.

Event Highlights

Launch of the Alliance 2019 Reciprocity Data Benchmarking Project
After analyzing data from 18 Alliance members last year, we are ready to move forward with implementation. All Alliance members—regardless of product line—are encouraged to participate.  An objective of the project will be to identify national providers—such as genetic testing companies, air ambulance services, and laboratory testing services, that are used may many Alliance members to determine if we can leverage collective contracting.  During this fly-in we will introduce the data collection tool, methodology and timelines.

In addition to sharing strategies and experiences with your peers, presentations will also be provided by:

  • Centivo—a national network of community-based regional plans
  • Stonebrook Risk Solutions—a national network of community-based regional plans
  • MultiPlan
