The Medicare Health Outcomes Survey (HOS) is the patient-reported outcomes measure used in Medicare managed care. The goal of the Medicare HOS is to gather valid, reliable, and clinically meaningful health status data from the Medicare Advantage (MA) program to use in quality improvement activities, pay for performance, program oversight, public reporting, and to improve health. All MA plans must participate.  The HOS is used to collect four HEDIS® effectiveness of care measures:  Management of Urinary Incontinence in Older Adults, Physical Activity in Older Adults, Fall Risk Management, and Osteoporosis Testing in Older Women. 

During this Quality roundtable discussion, Sheryl Pierce, Quality Improvement Specialist for Quartz Health Solutions will facilitate a discussion focusing on the key challenges and approaches MA plans are implementing to drive improvement in their HOS results.   Please come prepared to engage in active discussions with your Alliance peers and share your own experiences and lessons learned.

Quality program managers, HEDIS, Medical Management teams and others who may have an interest are invited to attend.
