Pharmacy Operations Technician

You will be responsible for performing outreach to members and pharmacies related to pharmacy benefits, Patient Review and Coordination, and opioid overutilization. Responsible for daily compliance oversight duties and supporting the pharmacy department in meeting the intended outcomes of the pharmacy quality intervention programs. Responsible for processing members into the state mandated Patient Review and Coordination (PRC), and the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services mandated Medicare Opioid Overutilization Prevention Program. Communicate with members’ providers, and as applicable coordinate members’ care with providers, hospitals and pharmacies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalency required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician certification or Assistant license preferred.

Prior Related Experience:
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience providing telephonic customer service.
• Minimum one (1) years’ experience in health care setting, direct patient care preferred.
• Two (2) years’ experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
• Experience with Medicaid and/or Medicare populations preferred.
• Care Management experience preferred.
