Bus Sys Analyst 1 EDI

Position Summary:
Under direct supervision, assists in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact finding combined with basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary under direction of experienced Business System Analyst. Competent to consider most business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment. Participates in testing new system functionality.

Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Related Field or or Minimum 1 year experience as a Developer, Testing Analyst, Business Analyst or Similar Role

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
One (1) year Computers/Information Technology

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Understanding of system requirements and process re-engineering design requirements. Ability to develop and execute test cases.
Essential Functions:

Interview business stakeholders, gather requirements and identify problem to solve.
Analyzes current business operational procedures.
Analyzes work flows, current practice and institutional needs.
Conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
Documents accurately and completely.
Works both independently and effectively with others.
Answers user questions and problem solves/troubleshoots, which requires the ability to work well with people in many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical expertise.
Act as a liaison with application vendor, document problems, and resolutions. Implements escalation procedures when appropriate.
Assists with testing methodology, scenarios and execution.
