STARS Analyst
Job Description To be fully engaged in providing Quality / No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by providing financial, quality, and outcomes information & analyses to advance the Star rating status of Health First Health Plans . Through the guidance of the Manager of Stars and Accreditation, the Stars Analyst will be accountable for ensuring data collection, validation and interpretation of Medicare Stars and experience data. Primary Accountabilities Protect the confidentiality of information and patients in accordancewith all applicable laws and policies. Oversees Star reporting tool and associated dashboards including relationship with vendor in regards to reporting needs Provides accurate and timely data collection reports to appropriate committees or groups andidentifies opportunities for improvements Collect data or oversee processes Aggregate and analyze data Provide Benchmarks Verify Statistical measures Oversee the development of action plans Acts as a resource for data abstraction and analysis as requested. Oversees collection, analysis and preparation of data for entry into specific databases and maintains the integrity of the information. Acts a resource for data abstraction and analysis as requested by departments and leadership relative to Stars and experience.. Performs analysis, reviews and summaries, and facilitates interpretation of data in a meaningful way to leadership. Maintains all hard copy and or electronic files for a period of seven years related to CMS regulatory standards and Performance Improvement activities Assists with Department Indicator monitoring and performance measurement for the Quality Management team goals. Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of information sources. Understanding of Health Plan systems that are necessary to manage department information sources. Provide training and assistance to Star and experience data owners or other report owners as necessary. Assist with monthly dashboard development and preparing reports for the Health Plan Quality Improvement Committee Engages other business analysts and health plan associates in ensuring data analysis needs are met for the Stars team. Knowledgeable of teammodels and operational processes throughout the health plan that could provide insight into appropriate data measurement Ability to effectively communicate in person, via telephone, and using written methods
Qualifications: Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering, Masters preferred Experience in Lean Process Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent analytical and communication skills knowledge of clinical information systems Highly motivated and possess initiative
