Medicare Marketing Manager

Position Summary:
The Medicare Marketing Manager manages all member and marketing communications activities. Accountable for ensuring consistency, accuracy, timeliness, cost-effectiveness and quality of communications with members, potential members, providers, employers, brokers, partners and Health Alliance staff. Manages performance of direct reports and cooperates in ensuring the Communications Department functions efficiently and effectively. Participates in protecting and enhancing the corporate image and identity.

Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Related Field preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
8-10 years Marketing experience wtih managing employees preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must possess superior copywriting and editing skills and draw upon educational, professional and practical experience to guide decision-making. Must possess ability to use Microsoft Office software and the ability to develop and monitor detailed department budgets. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Must demonstrate ability to manage the planning, prioritization, coordination and completion of complex, multiple tasks to ensure deadlines are met. Must be highly organized and ready to work within government regulatory agency guidelines to market to, and communicate with, current and potential Medicare and Medicaid members. Experience with Salesforce or other lead tracking software.

Essential Functions:
•Assumes responsibility for personnel related duties that include interviewing, disciplinary actions, payroll reporting, scheduling paid leave, and enforcing rules and regulations. Monitors employee performance and ensures timely communications for the purpose of goal setting, performance evaluations, wage increases and continued personnel actions.
•Translates annual sales goals into marketing plans for AEP, New to Medicare, Retention and Medicare Supplement. Tracks, monitors and reports campaign results.
•Directs, motivates, leads and empowers staff in the successful performance of their assigned responsibilities, while encouraging innovation.
•Aligns priorities with leadership in Strategy, Sales, Compliance and Operations.
•Identifies market-specific differentiators.
•Maintains provider partner relationships and directs provider marketing efforts.
•Keeps clients apprised of significant market/industry trends of special concern to them.
•Present creative concepts and materials to clients.
•Provides guidance to Communications Coordinators on projects to assure standards of accuracy, effectiveness and timeliness are met.
•Serves as project manager/client liaison for all assigned marketing projects.
•Assists in the development of annual department goals and continuously monitors performance (making workflow, staffing and budget adjustments as necessary).
