Responsible for the development and ongoing oversight of strategies and tactics to ensure profitable enrollment growth of various health plan product categories. Includes all phases of the product process from market analysis and ideation through design and development, as well as ongoing monitoring of implementation tactics and results. Includes product pricing, input to marketing plans, product presentations, and implementation of changes.
Develop product assessments, business cases, product forecasts and marketing strategies to maintain and increase market share and profitability. Presents concepts and business cases to corporate Product Development & Strategy committee.
Lead new product design and launch, creating and managing inter-departmental work plans and teams.
Manage a team and all aspects of the product life cycle from ideation through obsolescence. Create product work plans and coordinate operational, network, process and system changes needed to support new/changing/terminating products.
Assume a leadership role in Product Development and Strategy Committee, providing leadership for cross-functional teams involved in complex, high priority projects.
Partner with internal departments to develop product messaging, communications and promotions including internal and external product training.
Partner with internal departments and corporate Product Development and Strategy committee on go-to-market planning, including response to market-specific network, regulatory, and competitive changes and issues.
Track product profitability, enrollment, target consumer information, and competitive market trends related to each product category.
Anticipate issues, assess risks, make recommendations to balance business needs and constraints.
Knowledge of product development principles and demonstrated success in launching products that balance consumer needs and business goals

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, healthcare or related field
Five or more years’ experience in a product management position within insurance or related industry
Medicare Advantage and ACA experience preferred
