Job Summary

The Marketing & Communications Manager will support the strategic marketing efforts throughout the planning, development and execution process. This includes developing and executing on internal and external marketing strategies to drive awareness, membership growth, and brand recognition. The Manager is also responsible for understanding the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services regulations for marketing and ensuring compliance.

Major Work Activities

Accountable for developing and managing the development of the annual marketing plan designed to achieve strategic growth objectives; collaborating with internal stakeholders to help ensure growth in properly managed according to goals.
Responsible for assessing and interpreting the market to understand members behaviors and needs to help achieve the sales plan.
Oversees all advertising and digital marketing channels to achieve desired marketing objectives with the best value.
Helps manage all Annual Enrollment Period events and member events throughout the year, including assisting the sales team with media development and placement.
Join social media groups and professional platforms to discuss industry-related topics.
Network with industry experts and potential clients to drive brand awareness.
Gather customer feedback to inform sales and product teams.
Attend member and broker events,
Ensures information to the public and community is displayed correctly and effectively with the best opportunities for providing business.
Implements an ongoing, focused media and community relations program.
Demonstrates excellent customer service through positive interactions with members, colleagues, providers, employer representatives in a respectful, courteous and caring manner.
Respond to and resolves inquires in a timely and professional manner.
Works with vendors and appropriate departments to develop standardized policies and procedures and deploy best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in marketing and/or sales

Required Experience

Marketing/sales experience in planning, managing media channels, and achieving marketing/sales targets
Experience with website design and maintenance in WordPress
Experience in communications and public relations
Experience with digital marketing campaigns
Strong in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Event planning experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated knowledge of marketing plan development using various channels
Knowledge of agent channels
Strong in the following competencies: Decision making/Judgment, Problem solving/Analysis, Communication, Ability to work independently and with a team
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education

Master's degree in marketing, communication, business, or related field

Preferred Experience

Experience working with regulatory agencies, Medicare, CMS
Healthcare experience
Experience leading/coordinating projects
Experience managing sales agencies
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of the healthcare environment
Understanding of Medicare Advantage and Part D Programs
