Job Summary

The Community Outreach Supervisor’s primary responsibility will be to bring awareness of HealthTeam Advantage and its services, via grass root and community-based efforts, through educational seminars, special events, and involvement in community activities and committees. This position would also provide backup to the Agent Support call queue.

Major Work Activities

Identify and Establish Community Relationships. Examples; Senior Centers, Parks & Rec department, United Way, Senior Games, health fairs, etc.
Manage Events through time scheduling, personnel needed, booth setup, and materials needed.
Monitoring and tracking events for effectiveness. Ensuring target market is captured.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree or

equivalent work experience in senior market sales

Required Experience

Proficient in Word, Excel & PowerPoint
4 + years of experience in event planning & organization
Advanced use in Relationship Management (CRM) tools
Good communication skills, verbal and written
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Customer service experience in a managed care setting
Strong in the following competencies:

Organizational Skills
Time Management
Preferred prior Medicare and/or Medicaid experience
Ability to work in busy environments with large crowds
Ability to work independently or in a group
Availability to work flexible hours including after normal business hours, weekends, and holidays
Ability to lift up to 50lbs on occasion
Reside in the same territory they are assigned to work in; exceptions may be considered, due to business need
May be required to travel greater than 50% of the time to perform work duties. A valid driver’s license, car, and insurance are necessary for work-related travel
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education

Master’s Degree from an accredited university preferred. Equivalent Community relations experience may be substituted for a degree.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with regulatory agencies and in a compliance environment.
Strong understanding of CMS Marketing Guidelines
Deep and broad understanding of products
Experience interacting with other healthcare professionals, Medicare prospects
