Job Summary

The Clinical Quality Reporting Analyst leverages the tools and methods of advanced analytics to development of reports and analytic support for quality improvement initiatives, organizing and preparing HEDIS gap reports for vendor and provider partners. This position will work with the pharmacy and quality teams to gather the data needed to support the development of provider report cards. This position will develop and submit internal status reports required to track the Star calculations of various plan cohorts as well as overall perspective scores.

Major Work Activities

Independently, or in teams, apply advanced analytics programs/tools to develop dashboards, provider and vendor report cards, and Star calculators which are used to support value-based contracting.
Independently, or in teams, develop tools to track the performance of chronic condition improvement plan (CCIP) and model of care (MOC) programs.
Apply organizational and time management skills to successfully manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Demonstrate an advanced level of attention to detail and initiative in discovering errors in data or analyses, or determining the need for additional, follow-up analysis arising from the original assignment.
Routinely engage with customers as a trusted consultant, providing recommendations for analysis plans and performance improvement recommendations based on analytically derived information.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline including, but not limited to, fields such as physical sciences, mathematics, statistics, economics, decision science, or actuarial science.

Required Experience

3+ years of statistical analysis or data analysis experience.
Knowledge of Stars, HEDIS, and NCQA requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The ability to execute, with moderate supervision, complex analysis plans developed in conjunction with analytics leadership and/or senior consultants is required.
The ability to apply, with minimal supervision, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, ArcGIS) is required.
Experience with Business Intelligence and SQL tools
Demonstrated evidence of advanced-to-expert analytic problem-solving skills is required.
Ability to independently create and communicate complex, analytically-derived findings, both verbally and in writing • Analytics experience in the healthcare delivery or health insurance industries is strongly preferred.
Understanding of HIPAA and other applicable statutes or regulations concerning patient privacy and appropriate use and sharing of healthcare data is preferred.
Superior attention to detail.
Understanding of Medicare Advantage and Part D Programs
The ability to independently apply data extraction and basic analytical and/or statistical analysis tools and methods is required.
Must be able to effectively communicate to customers the practical implications of reporting results.
Advanced skills in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint N/A
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education

Master’s degree in Healthcare Systems or related field

Preferred Experience

5+ years of advanced analytics-related work experience, including financial modeling and data analysis.
Health Plan experience with HEDIS, NCQA, Stars
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Analytics experience in the healthcare delivery or health insurance industries is strongly preferred.
Understanding of HIPAA and other applicable statutes or regulations concerning patient privacy and appropriate use and sharing of healthcare data is preferred.
