The Graphic Designer will support the strategic marketing efforts by developing and executing traditional and digital design, member marketing materials, catalog publications, public relations materials, newsletters, videos, logos, infographics, and direct mailings. The Graphic Designer is also responsible for understanding the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations for marketing and ensuring compliance.
Major Work Activities
Develop marketing materials including brochures, newsletters, direct mail, catalogs, infographics, advertisements, and other materials. Assist in designing and editing presentations. Manage workflow of creative assets through the production release process; create accurate files for production; make edits/changes as required, obtain necessary approvals, submit files in a timely manner, track production, and maintain status. Produce impressive consumer-focused design solutions that maintain and enhance identity and clearly communicate corporate/business objectives. Concept and develop design solutions that address business goals. Maintains promotional materials by coordinating requirements with internal departments and vendors; placing orders with vendor(s) and verifying receipt and inventory stock. Analyze industry trends to develop concepts and layouts that are brand consistent while pushing creative boundaries to improve presentation. Monitor competitors and customer feedback in order to improve marketing ROI. Ensure brand consistency across all media used by the company including but not limited to: logo style, placement, and usage. Maintain updates to brand guidelines in coordination with Marketing Communications Manager. Coordinate photoshoots with a local vendor. Demonstrate excellent customer service through positive interactions with members, colleagues, providers, and company vendors in a respectful, courteous, and caring manner. Respond to and resolve inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Works with vendors and appropriate departments to develop standardized policies and procedures and deploy best practices. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements Minimum Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
Required Experience
2 + years of experience working with MS Office products, Adobe Creative Suite applications including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, and WordPress 2+ years of experience leading/ coordinating projects within an in-house marketing department or agency. 2+ years of experience designing direct mail, billboards, print ads, and catalog layouts. Knowledge of the healthcare environment industry Understanding of Medicare Advantage and Part D Programs Knowledge of digital design Testing/Competency
Will need to present some form of a professional portfolio of work for review to demonstrate design competencies.
