Manager-Financial Reporting and Budgeting

The Manager, Financial Reporting and Budgeting is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Financial Services. This position will be responsible for overseeing the accounting, reporting, and budgeting functions for Health Plans, Population Health and Community Health. This includes managing the monthly financial close, financial reporting packages (both internal and external, in adherence with GAAP), annual operating budgets, projections, variance analysis, account analysis, implementation of procedural and reporting improvements and development of effective business relationships. The incumbent will display effective planning and organizational skills; be results oriented; and possess the ability to competently manage multiple priorities. This position will manage other team members of varying levels, so there is a need to establish a course of action for self and/or others to accomplish a specific goal, as well as plan proper assignments of personnel and appropriate allocation of resources.

Experience and Qualifications:
*BA or BS in Accounting or Finance; MBA or MHA preferred
*Strong knowledge of US GAAP; CPA preferred
*Knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP)
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Motivated and self-driven with continuous process improvement goal
*A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential
*Ability to work with other functional groups
*Proficient in Microsoft Office products with advanced Excel and SmartView preferred
*Experience with Oracle and/or ability to learn, use and leverage financial systems
*Ability to be analytical, agile, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
*Ability to provide functional skill training, coaching, and feedback to staff
*Seven+ years of financial and operational analysis experience, with at least three years of experience in the health insurance industry, specifically Medicare and Commercial lines of business
