Mary Washington stood up their MA plan in PY 2020 and have their eyes set on a goal of 7000 members by 2024. In this deep dive case study, we hear from the health plan’s Chief Operating Officer, who also serves as the health system’s Chief Population Health Officer and the Chief Medical Officer of the Plan. Like many provider-led integrated delivery systems, Mary Washington envisions Medicare Advantage as an important expansion of their enterprise portfolio and as a pathway that will deepen the system’s comfort and competency with taking a risk for populations.

Join us for this discussion forum in which Travis Turner and Dr. Janus walk us through their growth strategy in MWHP’s local market. We will dig into issues such as:

 

  • A look back: What the plan leadership learned from their MA plan launch and first years in operation.
  • Their growth plans and how they are working on getting there: Teams, tools, and partners to make it happen.
  • How they are working with the health system and their ACO: We all know our providers play a significant role in satisfaction and retention and can help with new growth, too. How is MWHP tackling this?

If the piece is seen by your members, we’d love you to share it with your Health Plan Alliance colleagues. Special request—we’d also love to see your disenrollment surveys!
