Health Plan Alliance welcomes new member PreferredOne

IRVING, Texas, May 1, 2018 — The Health Plan Alliance is expanding its community of provider-sponsored and independently-owned health plans. The organization today announced that PreferredOne, based in Golden Valley, Minn. joined the Alliance as its newest member.
Founded in 1984, the PreferredOne organization is comprised of three companies: PreferredOne Administrative Services, Inc. (PAS), PreferredOne Insurance Company (PIC), and PreferredOne Community Health Plan (PCHP). PreferredOne is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fairview Health Services. PreferredOne enrolls 327,000 members, serves 4,800 employers, and is contracted with 99 percent of clinics and hospitals in Minn.
