IRVING, Texas, May 1, 2018 – The Health Plan Alliance, a national organization for provider-sponsored and independently-owned health plans, today announced the inauguration of the Cathy K. Eddy Health Care Leadership Lecture Series. The lecture series was created in honor of Alliance founder and president, Cathy Eddy, and was unveiled on April 5 at a celebration honoring her career. Cathy Eddy retired from the Alliance on April 30.

The lecture series will bring a line-up of nationally recognized keynote speakers to Alliance value visits over the next several years. Speakers will focus on the four areas of leadership most important to Eddy:  collaboration, innovation, governance and mentorship. The Alliance plans to announce the first speaker later this year. “Cathy led the Alliance for more than 20 years,” said Joe Lastinger, Alliance president. “The Cathy K. Eddy Health Care Leadership Lecture Series commemorates her legacy and will continue to challenge and grow future health care leaders.”

The lecture series was made possible from the contributions of more than 60 individuals and 30 companies. Additional information about the lecture series, its contributors and how to make a contribution is available on www.healthplanalliance.org.
