Health Plan Alliance Announces Addition of Centauri Health Solutions to its Group Purchasing Organization

IRVING, Texas, May 18, 2021 – The Health Plan Alliance (Alliance), a national organization for provider-sponsored health plan collaboration, today announced an exclusive group purchasing organization (GPO) contract with Centauri Health Solutions (Centauri), an innovative provider of healthcare technology and services.
Centauri’s Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contract offers Alliance health plan members preferred pricing on Centauri’s dual eligibility, SSI/SSDI and HEDIS® services. Centauri has more than three decades of experience helping Medicare Advantage plans and Managed Medicaid plans engage and enroll their members with dual eligibility into Medicare/Medicaid duals programs and disability programs like SSI/SSDI, as well as supporting health plans with their quality programs. Centauri’s HEDIS® offering is among a select few that have held a National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) certification since 2006. Centauri’s HEDIS® data management and reporting includes medical record retrieval, medical record review and abstraction services.
“The Alliance is always working to identify group purchasing opportunities for its members to improve vendor selection efficiency and decrease the cost of care. The Medicare and Medicaid enrollment and quality improvement programs now available through our GPO contract with Centauri is the latest example of those efforts,” said Jaime González, chief business development officer of the Alliance. “With this offering, Alliance members now have access to resources that can help them get accurate funding for their dual-eligible beneficiaries and improve their care delivery.”
Services and solutions offered by Centauri will help Alliance health plan members enhance their quality programs and receive accurate reimbursement to finance the care of their highest risk and most complex members.
