Interoperability Micro Summit: Requirements, Roadmaps and RFPs

Event Date: 9/18/2020

Event Overview

Interoperability: Requirements, Roadmaps and RFPs

In this highly participatory workshop-style session, Alliance member health plans dig into their approach to achieving Interoperability.  Each attending health plan will be sharing details with the group, so that we can compare our interpretations of the requirements, gain a shared understanding of definitions, and accelerate development of our roadmaps to success.

Event highlights

This virtual micro summit is designed to be highly valuable and efficient. We’ll kick off at 10:30 AM CT and wrap promptly at 2:30 PM CT. During that time, summit attendees will:

  • Learn how other health plans are interpreting the requirements and have the opportunity to test their own assumptions with their Alliance colleagues
  • Examine the roadmaps other health plans have developed, what milestones they are striving to reach, and the timeline they are striving to maintain
  • Discuss learnings from Alliance health plans' RFP efforts and gauge how your health plan's progress and approach compares to that of your peers.

Powered by plan-to-plan sharing and detailed reference materials provided by each participating health plan, this micro summit is designed to accelerate your implementation plan development and vendor selection in support of Interoperability.

What is it

An intentional micro-summit focused on creating opportunities for Alliance members to convene for thoughtful discussions around Interoperability. These sessions will produce tangible and specific initiatives working for fellow health plans across the country.

A new staple in the Alliance programming calendar as part of our Interoperability Learning Collaborative.

Who should attend

Executive stakeholders in strategic planning along with teams responsible for processes and procedures within Interoperability compliance, legal, information technology, risk management and vendor management. Those with responsibilities for medical management, quality management, and informatics departments will also find this summit informative.

Special Events

Alliance Members will all participate in "Show and Tell"

The September 18th Interoperability Micro summit is a “true workshop,” which means that each session is designed to maximize learning from all participants, and not just a single presenter.

CHOOSE YOUR TOPICS

All Alliance member health plans are part of the faculty for this workshop-style session.  Each health plan will share their perspective on one of three topics:

  1. Walk through your health plan road map a/or project plan
  2. Explain how your health plan is interpreting requirements and your working definitions
  3. Share what you have learned from your RFP process

When health plan employees register, we'll ask you to share your first and second preference.  Then an Alliance staffer will reach out to your team to confirm your role and line up next steps.

COMPLETE YOUR PRE-WORK (DUE SEPTEMBER 11TH)

To make this event as successful as possible, each attending organization should complete the following no later than September 11th:

Complete your Micro Summit Pre-work. Get your instructions here!
Convert all files into the requested format
Name all files using the file name convention
Upload each document separately to the Alliance’s secure portal

Note: Each attending organization should complete this pre-work packet. (If a team of co-workers are attending together, only one packet is required per organization.)
