Case Study: How Johns Hopkins Uses a Multi-Lens Approach to Support Mental Health

Event Date: 2/25/2021

Event Overview

Thursday, 2/25/2021
11:00 AM CT – 12:00 PM CT (60 minutes)
Hosted by: Johns Hopkins

Johns Hopkins has developed its own behavioral health program which is now being deployed nationally to employers. This program, called Balance, was developed by Johns Hopkins experts in Psychology and Psychiatry. The very foundation of Balance —understanding the individual through multiple lenses to treat the whole person—is based on the Johns Hopkins Perspectives approach. Balance includes:

  • An on-line assessment
  • Connection to a Johns Hopkins trained therapist if at-risk
  • Use of a Hopkins developed virtual reality program to assist with chronic stress
  • Use of an AI chatbot for resiliency support

The assessment is based on the Johns Hopkins Perspectives approach to triaging patients which really gets to the "why" and provides the clinical team with a risk summary for triaging purposes. Hear about this comprehensive approach to behavioral health management designed to help patients understand their challenges and identify the best way to address them.

Audience

Clinical leaders and those involved in behavioral health benefits strategies and care coordination. Health plan team members responsible for small and large group products will also find this webinar beneficial.
