Fall Leadership Forum 2024

Event Date: 10/22/2024 - 10/25/2024

Event Overview

The strategic fundamentals regional payers must operationalize to survive and thrive

Our bi-annual leadership forums are designed specifically to support HPA member plan executive teams as they grapple with far-reaching challenges.  Join us for the Fall Leadership 2024 meeting, where we will delve into the most pressing issues and opportunities in the healthcare landscape. This year’s themes include a range of critical topics shaping the future of healthcare. We will examine the potential impacts of the upcoming election and legislative agenda on healthcare policies, the future of the Medicare Advantage (MA) program, and the implications of the realignment of provider-sponsored plans. Our keynotes will provide perspectives on some of the greatest challenges facing leaders today: transforming your business in the face of imminent disruption and understanding the latest advancements in healthcare AI.  Additionally, we will introduce new members and prospective guests, fostering valuable connections within our network.

Featured speakers

Ron Brownstein
CNN Senior Political Analyst, Senior Editor for The Atlantic, Contributing Editor for National Journal

Twice a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, Brownstein was cited for “the clarity, consistency, and quality of his political reporting.” He writes weekly columns for both the Atlantic and CNN.com and also appears regularly in National Journal. A prolific and penetrating columnist, Brownstein is, as the Economist said, “one of America’s best political journalists,” and the Washington Post called him “one of the gold-plated names of political journalism who can still shape big-pictures conventional wisdom” and “who’s doing the job the way it should be done.” Exclusively represented by Leading Authorities speakers bureau, Brownstein has been called “the sharpest observer of American’s political divides” and “an exemplar of a better way,” in an acclaimed feature piece by The Washington Post, which recognized him for his focus on long-term patterns instead of daily gossip, as well as his understanding that politics isn’t just what happens in Washington. His speeches reflect the depth of his knowledge, making him one of the most trustworthy predictors of America’s future.

Ethan Mollick
Associate Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania,

Ethan Mollick is an Associate Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he studies and teaches innovation and entrepreneurship, and also examines the effects of artificial intelligence on work and education. His papers have been published in top journals and his book on AI, Co-Intelligence, is a New York Times bestseller. His research is highly cited by other academics, and has been covered by CNN, The Wall Street Journal, and other leading publications. In addition to his research and teaching, Ethan is the Co-Director of the Generative AI Lab at Wharton, which builds prototypes and conducts research to discover how AI can help humans thrive while mitigating risks. Prior to his time in academia, Ethan co-founded a startup company, and he advises numerous organizations. Mollick received his PhD and MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.
