Jaime Gonzalez, DrPH, MSSW, MSHA

 

Jaime has more than 33-years of healthcare industry experience. In his role, Jaime oversees the business development activities and collaborates with a variety of industry business partners and vendors. He also works with these organizations to incorporate their expertise and best practices into the Alliance's educational programs including conferences and webinars. 
Jaime is also a clinical social worker/case manager with specialization in pediatrics; and, he is also a doctor of public health with expertise in health disparities and healthcare equity. Prior to working for the Alliance, he worked in the insurance industry creating health and wellness programs and services especially for the Hispanic/Latino community. 

At the Alliance, Jaime incorporates this expertise by developing educational programming focused on the unique healthcare needs of the multicultural populations our member health plans serve. 

Jaime is a graduate of the University of North Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health. His dissertation research focused on the health seeking behaviors of Latinos as it relates to their take-up of health insurance coverage. He also holds a Master of Science in Health Administration from Texas Woman's University and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is also an alumnus of America's Health Insurance Plans? Minority Management Development Program.

Between Jaime and his wife, they have 62 nephews and nieces and counting! Jaime enjoys baking, cooking and volunteering, with his wife, at his parish and with some community-based organizations focused on providing healthcare services to the underserved population in North Texas.
