Back by popular demand: the Health Plan Alliance is again hosting our Medicare Advantage Supplemental Benefits Consortium (MASBC), this time for Plan Year 2023! Join us on July 20 for the consortium's kick-off call. All Alliance member health plans may attend *IF* your organization has completed both the MASBC participation commitment form and kick-off survey.

WHAT IS THE MASBC?
The MASBC PY 2023 provides an opportunity for Alliance member health plans to innovate their Medicare Advantage (MA) benefits and services through an extended learning and collaboration model that culminates in multiple high-value deliverables for participating health plans. WHY DOES MY PLAN HAVE TO COMPLETE THIS SURVEY TO ATTEND THIS CALL?
Unlike previous years, the MASBC PY 2023 does not require Alliance member plans to pay a fee for the program deliverables. However, health plans must complete the commitment to participate form and kick-off survey to receive the registration passcodes and gain access to the curriculum and materials. Like much of the Alliance program offerings, the MASBC depends on member health plan participation for its success, and we're counting on you!

WHAT WILL WE COVER DURING THIS KICK-OFF CALL?
The July 20 kick-off call will set the stage for the MASBC PY 2023 programming, and our project facilitators will cover the following with HPA member health plans:

The MASBC PY 2023 health plan survey results: What benefits and services HPA plans want us to cover and why
The curriculum schedule, expectations of participating health plans, and how to access the project materials for your team
Deliverables! What you can expect to gain through your sustained participation

This discussion is an essential first step because it provides an important opportunity for Alliance member health plans to guide the project's focus, influence the schedule, and clarify expectations around deliverables. We took multiple key learnings away from the MASBC PY2022 project, which has strongly influenced our approach for PY 2023. Even if you've participated in the past, this call is crucial in ensuring you're aware of all the ways we've improved the program and are prepared for what is different!
