Now that individuals with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) can enroll in Medicare Advantage plans, it is critical that your health plan receives accurate reimbursement for both your new and existing members with ESRD. Given that CMS will retroactively reimburse up to six years for your ESRD members, you will want to make sure you are not leaving a single revenue capture opportunity on the table.

Kami Andrews leads Sentara Health Plans’ ESRD program and has developed a robust workflow to ensure Sentara is receiving accurate reimbursement for its ESRD members. Kami will provide an overview of Sentara’s process and tips and best practices she and her team have learned along the way.
