As you advance in responsibility, you evolve from do-er to leader and need to tap into a range of decision-making approaches. You will be put into breakout rooms to engage with a group of individuals to discuss and analyze a particular issue or problem. What are the situations where an executive decision makes sense? Where is it useful to the time to build a consensus? Delegation is a form of decision making, and when is that the best approach? You will leave this session with greater decision-making agility, the ability to pivot to the right approach, and then support the decision with clear communication.

Audience

These stand-alone 90-minute virtual sessions, available to ALL Alliance members, each focus on key areas of management and leadership identified by HPA leaders for professional success. Each session will include an introduction to a specific competency and/or content area, will share a tool or framework to improve performance, and provide the ability to practice the tool or framework in small groups. To each of these sessions, bring your ideas and questions.
