COB, Subrogation and SIU Efforts: Survey Results and Discussion

Event Date: 11/18/2020

Event Overview

Wednesday, 11/18/2020
11:00 AM CT – 12:00 PM CT (60 minutes)
Hosted by: Presbyterian Health Plan

If you are interested in how your plan compares to others now is your chance! The Alliance is issued a short benchmarking survey to give participants a reasonableness check on the effectiveness of their COB, Subrogation and SIU efforts. The results will serve as a catalyst for your plan to make adjustments on resources and strategy in these areas. Good financial impact data is hard to find in these areas. Given the current economic situation, it is more important than ever to assure that a carrier's processes are functioning optimally.

Presbyterian Health Plan along with Alliance member staff will review the recent survey results about methods and impacts of COB, subrogation and SIU efforts.  Information will enable health plans to compare and benchmark against others’ results.  Attendees will engage in lively conversation and  learn about best practices from other plans.

During this session, we will discuss:

  • Approaches: Pay and chase or chase and pay
  • Measurements used for these efforts
  • Results: Savings and recovery percentages
  • What’s working and not working

Audience

Those with responsibility for claims management, coding, compliance, and government programs. Additionally, executive stakeholders in financial management, government programs, strategic planning and legal will find this webinar informational.

Ask your peers a question or share a resource anytime through the Alliance discussion forum
